In April, the Resorts World Casino was the scene of a massive brawl involving at least two dozen people, which led to arrests of two men. In an apparent coincidence, a man allegedly fired a gun outside the casino during the melee, but charges against him were quickly dropped.
At least one other deadly shooting marked the end of Memorial Day weekend, with an unidentified man in East New York, Brooklyn, getting fatally shot in the torso shortly before 9 p.m. Monday. Police have yet to confirm a full tally of overnight shootings.
