FLATIRON — British restaurant chain Burger & Lobster is giving away nearly a thousand mini burgers between noon and 2 p.m. on Friday, the restaurant announced.
The sliders, each about 3 ounces, will be a miniature version of the chain’s 10 ounces burger and will be offered in front of the eatery at 39 W. 19th street.
They will consist of a patty made up of three cuts of Nebraska beef, a white and black sesame seed potato brioche bun, house made pickles, pickled onions, American cheese, white cheddar and applewood smoked bacon, organizers said.
The slider giveaway aims to raise awareness about Nebraska as a resource for beef, a Burger & Lobster spokeswoman said, adding that all the beef served at Burger & Lobster is sourced from there.
Nebraska’s governor, Pete Rickettes, as well as a several Nebraska cattlemen and jazz players will be present to greet meat lovers, organizers said.
